| Welcome to Dogstar Academy Be the leader of the pack! Learn how to communicate with your dog in a clear, effective manner, WITHOUT having to be the 'fun police'. Most dogs surrendered to shelters today are there for behavioral problems, and the best way to prevent this is training. We can help you gain the respect of your out-of-control dog of any age, from puppy to senior - all with positive, humane methods. In 8 weeks, we will cover leash manners, sit-stays, downs-stays, body handling/tolerence, and coming when called. We will also cover common behavioral issues such as house-soiling, jumping up, nipping, mouthing, and barking. Now forming! Monday Night Puppy Class starts February 4th! This class is limited to 10 people, so sign up early. Class fee is $120, which includes 8 weeks of classes and all class materials. Dogstar Academy offers small group classes with a very low student to teacher ratio, flexible scheduling, and multiple locations to best fit YOUR schedule. We emphasize socialization and positive reinforcement as appropriate training for dogs of all ages and sizes. Most importantly, we'll teach YOU to train your dog. We understand that your life is busy. We'll help you to get the most out of every single training session with your dog, keeping it fun, interesting, and productive. In addition to classes and private lessons, we also offer daycare and training packages, dogwalking, and limited boarding. Dogstar Academy plans to offer several ADPT Rally Trials in May/June of 2008- more information as soon as it becomes available. ADPT Rally is open to all dogs regardless of breed or mix and is a great introduction to the world of dogsports.
